The Xcaret Way

In J358: Writing Design Concepts course, I crafted a comprehensive brand book for a company, selecting SoundCloud as the focal point—a renowned music streaming platform.I developed print ads, social media posts, a music festival concept, short video form concepts and more.

The driving force behind this campaign was Soundcloud faces a challenge as music enthusiasts are increasingly underutilizing the platform. Its unique blend of a producer-centric space and underground music discovery, while versatile, leaves Soundcloud in a middle ground without clear dominance or distinction in either realm.

In J460: the Advertising & Culture Course, I assumed the role of Media Planner, leading a team to successfully execute two distinct campaigns—one centered around Spotify and the other highlighting Tsunami Books, a local Eugene bookstore. Throughout the projects, I crafted a total of five graphic designs and developed two comprehensive media plans, showcasing my skills in strategic planning and creative design.

In J320: Gender, Media and Diversity course, I was responsible for managing our group. We decided to focus on How Media In The United StatesDehumanizes Non-European Refugees Through Language And Coverage. I created the deck, copy, and other details in collaboration with my team.
